My wife and I decided to sell our Florida condo and move to a larger home. Our real estate agent found a buyer and all appeared to be progressing well until we found out that our title was faulty. The Title company that our real estate agent had suggested could not resolve the situation and we were told that our title insurance did not cover the mistake that had been made when we bought the home. We were frustrated and concerned that the sale would not proceed by the closing date. Weeks passed and our title company was not able to resolve the situation. Eventually I asked our real estate agent to suggest another company and he suggested Borgia Law and American Real Title.
The difference was immediately evident. I spoke with Karina Borgia, and was assured that the situation could and would be resolved. Karina was very supportive and told me that she would obtain the file and start work immediately. It became apparent that the Title Insurance company would take weeks or for that matter, months to resolve the issue. Karina then prepared affidavits for the Court, which outlined the mistakes, made on the original Title and sought relief from the Court.
We were very pleased when she called us and said that she had been successful and the sale could proceed as planned.
